Spinning - Huacaya Alpaka - Knavesmire Axel
update on this pretty boy : Spinning - Huacaya Alpaka - Knavesmire Axel
i cleaned all the fibers and seperated them, and prepared for carding, it was such a fine fiber, which did make it a tad tedious :D
clinging to each and every tiny bit of hay and dirt, but ... i won the battle i think
under the table you see the dust i got with each and every single batt i made, and i made 8 batts :D
1 skein is already spun ... and it is fantastic

Spinning - Suri Alpaka - contract
remember raptor ? Spinning - Suri Alpaka - contract
i started spinning a bit of it :D fighting with it to be pretty on the drum carder ... and the battle is a big battle
the fleece was prewashed, sadly suri is SOOOOOO hard to get it clean when its fine, it had a lot of dust hidden in the locks
so after spinning those first 2 skeins, i desided to rewash the rest ...
and to get it dry it took a while *yawns*
rain and rain and rain and some more rain over germany ....
