one more challenge for myself at the Tour de Fleece was testing out some tailspinning
i used those gothland locks Spinning - Gothland Sheep
and here is the result
first, find the bag with the locks, yea thats not so easy :D
then fluffing them up a bit
after spinning, i realised far to much twist, so i had to ply
then i washed them ... and still far to much twist
i still went for my 10mm needles and tried to knit the yarn
you can see the front and the back
i realise - i need 12mm - 15mm - 18mm and 20 mm needels for such projects
and i also can see a vest, or a cowl, made with this
but - i also realise, those locks are NOT next to skin soft, if you sensitive to scratchy wool
