fridays …. i like them

 

i spent the morning again at the docs, and finished row nr 6

then i moved out into the sunshine and did some spinning

later on i watched tv and knitted an other 2 cm of my top, just 20 rows to go now !

testspun a sample of some nice alpaka, but its not babyquality, and i am sooo spoiled by now

now THIS is again baby suri alpaka, and it is not just the baby quality, no its really a baby first cut *giggles*
its a tad paler in real, sadly i couldnt get the colour right

and this is my todays cup of coffee

thursday - oh so tired

 

and thats the reason why i didnt do very much

a tiny bit of knitting - a cm takes ages already

a little bit of spinning, which shows not at all - so no foto :)

and playing a bit with my grey wool … which is really fascinating
its rough … but it doesnt scratch at all !
and so many shades of grey

this is a 4 ply - which i knitted with 8mm needles
below a little sample, crocheted with a 4mm hook, was just a 2 ply
and a pile of fluff with the patches on it  - to show the colours

and i spent it ouside, seperating little samples of alpaka wool
those here are ready washed, and i know, i need to get more of these :D

thursday will be spent outside again, and prepare some more for washing

Tuesday - part 2

 

i spun a tiny bit on my 3rd bobbin
and knitted quite a bit on the top

tuesday - part 1

 

mailman brought me the long awaited swift - my sweetone needs to attach me somehow some counter now

then i got a HUGE box with about 3 kilo each of texel and rhöne sheep
the smaller bat is some dirty texel, the other some dirty rhöne

after washing it shows quite a bit of vegetation :D
but 3 passes with the combs got rid of that

sadly it is rougher then i can handle it … it soaks now in some lanolin shampoo,  but i fear, this wont be usable for me
but then, the rhöne sheep is very long, i might give it a try to make some bouclee … it does remind me at older mohair fibers

on and on it goes

 

yesterday i spent a long time with sorting and washing the grey fleece again, all 3,5 dirty kilos are now washed - finaly - more
fleeces are coming soon

after washing the wool, i knitted a few golden rows again, and then a few squares of row 6

and before i went to bed, i did a little bit of spinning again

sundays work

 

i knitted 4 !!! square on the entrlac shawl
'and then a few rows on my golden  top :)
love how its going
sadly no way to see if it is right till i finished all 20 cm of the top of top :D

Saturday a spinning day

 

yesterday i sorted a bit of raw wool and washed it - boy thats a slow job !
then i knitted 2 rows, and desided its not a knitting day
and finished the 2nd bobbin :D
