Today i was enjoying the sunshine outside, and did the painting on the veranda.
I use oil paint. I like it a lot, because it blends so nice.
I haven’t taken any pictures, because this process really isn’t any good if i take pictures.
You need to experiment yourself.
Just one important thing, take very little paint onto the brush and brush off on a piece of tissue.
brush off till nearly nothing comes off anymore, and then take the first stroke on the fabric.
It is not enough ? do the same thing again … maybe - just maybe - brush off a tiny bit less.
Remember, you can always put on more, but what is on, is very hard to get off again.
Here you can compare - 1 side without and one side with painting
Summary of the working hours:
5,0 hours - pattern design, drawing onto fabric, cutting out, running stitch marking
7,5 hours - cutting hair from seam allowance
9,0 hours - paws and starting to sew
4,0 hours - finished sewing, turning, preparing for wiring
7,0 hours - covering wire, stuffing paws
7,0 hours - finishing paws, working the face, closing the seams and attaching the limbs
3,0 hours - securing the limbs, stuffing and sewing the belly - nearly finished
2,0 hours - painting
44,5 hours working on this teddy
