Part 6

The glue is dry, now let’s make the eye lids
I wanted upper and lower lids, so i made 4 tiny little lids

226222

223228

And now needling them to the face

229230

231232

Not really even …. but as good as i could for now.
And now some sculpting

234235

Doesn’t look to bad, right ? :)

Now it is time to secure the threads from the eyes.
Don’t pull to tight, just a few times across the head.

See the little black dot on the 2nd picture ? just a tiny little pull and it sinks right inside the head.

238239

240241

All that is left, are some tiny holes, which we cover with little sheets of wool and needle them right over it.

Now we work a little bit more on the paws.
Make little lines with your needle where the toes separate usually

242243

Now you can paint with colours of your choice or use wool here.

Take tiny little wisps of wool and roll them together a bit, then needle them into place244245

246

I forgot to take a picture…. you need a little bit bigger ball to go into the middle of those 4 dots like on this picture

259

Next i was working on the surface to make it nice and even. Needling for hours and hours :D

I try to show you the before and after here …. the forearm is needled the rest is still fluffy
The second picture shows again the same forearm, after i gone over the rest of the hair with little sharp scissors

247250

Here the whole arm is needled, you can see around the arm how it sinks in a little bit with this surface needling.

252

You need to do now the whole body of the cat, i started with the arms, then the tail.
Worked the lower legs, the belly and chest, the neck, lower side of the head and sides of the head, then the back.

Now its time to attach the ears

Pull the 2 colours of wool a bit apart on the fluffy side

253

And pin the ears to the head. Now its time to get the size you want. … play with the pins till you like the ear size and how they are placed.

254

Then you needle the back of the ear, just the white part in this case, to the head.

256

On the front, needle into the ear and tag the pink onto the head a bit.
Then fold the ear back, and needle right into the edge.

257

Take a wisp of flesh or pink wool, and needle it to the front of the nose

258

Tiny little bits into the line of the mouth

260

And now its time, to run all over the body with the tiny scissors and cut off all stray hairs.261262

Want some decoration ? Now it’s time to get it out :D

Place the kitty onto a place with good light, and take pictures :)
