Spinning - 2 Blue 2 Green 1 Purple Merino

in between the contracts, i did some 100 gram for my pleasure again
i will order some more, to have enough for a shawl or a top
it will be probably a 2 ply - with itself, so i guess it will be loud with the colour mix, but ... hey ... why not :D

Spinning - Huacaya Alpaka - Ole and Pepe

the last weeks i was working on those fantastic fleeces of ole and Pepe, see the first post here Spinning - Huacaya Alpaka - Ole and Pepe
and sent them back home on friday

030031

it was 470 grams, in 5 skeins, n-plyed, roughtly 150 to 170 meters on 100 gram

i was so happy to get the drumcarder helping me with this load, and i can just dream on and on of the fluffyness of the carded batts :D
i made each batt 50 grams, and spun a batt a day, and then i spent a day for plying

013

and on and on and on i spun, i guess you get the idea :D

Spinning - Gothland Sheep

one more challenge for myself at the Tour de Fleece was testing out some tailspinning
i used those gothland locks Spinning - Gothland Sheep
and here is the result

first, find the bag with the locks, yea thats not so easy :D
then fluffing them up a bit

010011

after spinning, i realised far to much twist, so i had to ply
then i washed them ... and still far to much twist

012013

i still went for my 10mm needles and tried to knit the yarn
you can see the front and the back
i realise - i need 12mm - 15mm - 18mm and 20 mm needels for such projects
and i also can see a vest, or a cowl, made with this
but - i also realise, those locks are NOT next to skin soft, if you sensitive to scratchy wool
