Spinning - lilac/white BFL
maybe you remember the wool i dyed a few weeks back ?
if not : Dyed wool to spin and knit –D
it was 100 gram of the dyed purple – quite a bit to dark for what i wanted, and so … i need more wool
so i ordered 200 grams more of the soft BFL (a sheep in case you wonder :D )
and then i blended the dyed purple with the white on my blending board, and dizzed it off in a nice top
i spun for ever and ever and ever … 300 grams, on 3 bobbins … i thought it would never end, and i actually thought i must have a few 1000 meters
then Sunday was the day to start plying, i decided on a 3 ply, because 2 was still to thin, 4 where to thick, chainplyed (two 2plyed plyed together) was just right, but not soft enough
so – 3 ply, but didn't fancy a n-ply :D
looks just right for 3mm needles doesn't it ?
but soon the 3 thin threads started to cut into my fingers, and the whole process was starting my fingers, hands, and shoulders … so i thought, what i could build myself to have the threads running through, and retreated to a hackle :D
works fantastic btw … can even use it without hands *laughs*
and just now, i finished !!!
forgot to take a photo on my self-made niddi noddi …
970 meters !
that might be NOT enough for a summer top :(
might try to knit from top down, and start thinking when i get short … maybe i loose weight and go belly free *claps hands*
