Spinning - Angora

 

i LOVE angora
and i never treated me with angora clothings

so while searching around on Ebay, i found a german angora breeder !!!

i started off small a few tests, i found i prefer loose rolags best

a bit of spinning and a bit of knitting and i am alllllll owwwwwwwhhhhhhhh yea i want a shirt or shawl of this !!

so i made a BIG pile of rolags of my left over 17 grams of angora, and spun … with my turkish

had also 10 grams of white angora …

this is not the end of the story !!!

Spinning - red Merino blend = Firestar

2 strands of firely soft Merino
1 strand 97 gram + 1 strand 99 gram - 260 meters together

meanwhile i made me a Blending board as you know, so making rolags should be much faster … one would think …
but that is not as easy as it sound ….
this time i blended 3 shades of reds together, also 3 shades of orange, and 3 shades of yellow.
i forgot to photograph from the beginning, so i got just the shades of red to show, and my camera hates red :/
so now I got 3 piles of red, and blend it together … the same i did with the others - earlier

Spinning – white Wensleydale Locks

 

got a kilo of  Wensleydale locks on ebay
now i need just some time to wash them

not forget to test around first, so i dont ruin the locks

ruining like that
putting locks into the water, without securing them together *facepalm*
the float straight away apart, like fish in a pond

when i seen them, i just couldnt resist, and had to buy one
and she spins !

in a group on facebook was a KAL (knit along) and i entered, and i won !!
i could choose between a normal spindle and this lovely turkish, and this just when i was about to start searching for one to buy !
the locks where a nice addition … locks yeaaaa !

Spinning - blue Merino blend = Caribian sea

i had a cupple rovings in shades of blue and aqua and turquoise, so i made some rolags with my handcarders
first … some for testing …  and test spinning and test knitting
